Abby Walkush

Where are you from?
A small town in central Wisconsin called Waupaca. While the population barely hits 7,000, the 22 connected lakes make it a dream in summertime (and brings lots + lots of tourists).

What do you like most about Denver?
4 of my favorite things in life are: food, happy hours, camping/hiking, and dogs. Denver nails each one of them.

What did you do before Real Estate?
While I’m a fairly recent graduate (May 2019), I spent a year doing Marketing + Events for a media/newspaper company in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

What are you passionate about right now in your business?
Learning the most efficient way to do things, and do them right. I also LOVE meeting all of our agents, and helping them better understand their brand + market themselves.

What has been the most rewarding part of working for BSW Real Estate?
Helping connect the dots. By that I mean, watching the light bulb go off when meeting with an agent – when they finally believe their own brand + feel good about where they’re at with their business. I really enjoy being on the other end of that moment.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Anything that involves trying new food, restaurants, breweries (although I may love cooking even more). Hiking new spots + camping in the middle of nowhere. I’m a sucker for a good movie or series, but love reading too. Hanging out on the water is one of my favorite pastimes, and something I’ve missed since moving out here in May.

What is your favorite restaurant in Denver?
I’ve been to quite a few in my short time here, but I’ve throughly enjoyed: Beso De Arte, Denver Biscuit Co, and anything with a rooftop bar or music. I’m all about breakfast food, so French Press is a good one as well.

What’s one thing about you that many people may not know?
I’m related to NHL player Joe Pavelski. I think he’s a cousin and I’ve never met him, but apparently it’s a thing.

Why should people work with BSW Real Estate?
I’ve never been a part of a company that has such a focus on improvement, collaboration, and people. You’ll always feel valued, appreciated, and cared for at BSW.
