Have you started on your New Year’s resolution yet? If you’re anything like us, New Year’s resolutions don’t always have to simply be about working out or reading more. One of our resolutions this year is to branch out and try new restaurants in Denver because there are so many great new and upcoming spots for grub to be excited about! We’ve compiled some of the most anticipated restaurants below!
If you’re looking to be brave really branch out, then Restaurant Tonno is the place to be. Restaurant Tonno is tasting-menu-only from chef Alec Bruno, who will bring you along an edible adventure. Chef Bruno is no coward to the experimental, offering 11 to 16 courses throughout the evening. If you want to get a reservation as soon as it opens in the spring, you’ll have to join the waitlist as it’s already gaining popularity!
East coast transplants will love this one as Max Mackissock, Katie O’Shea and Juan Padro of Denver Culinary Creative Group, are bringing the best of New England Cuisine to the Highlands this spring. The team behind Señor Bear and Bar Dough are said to serve the best lobster roll in the state, and while $34 for a sandwich seems steep, lobster isn’t cheap and it’s not easy to find a good lobster roll in the Rockies. Aside from the lobster roll, Maine Shack will also serve up lobster mac & cheese, lobster tail, and whole bellied fried clams!
The Constellation Ice Cream
We’re all big fans of Little Man Ice Cream obviously, and how could we complain about having another spot in Denver to indulge in delicious, creamy, homemade ice cream from the same people?! In early 2019, Little Man will open a new Stapleton location called The Constellation! The new outpost will be housed in all-glass and topped with a 75-foot replica airplane in honor of the former airport site. Not only will the menu include the scrumptious ice cream we all know and love, but also flambéed Baked Alaska ice cream cake pops! Our mouths are watering…

There are so many great upcoming restaurants we could recommend, but here are some of our favorites! What new Denver restaurants are you most excited to try in the new year?
